A/C...? what is *that*...? ;)

I think the only buildings in my town that have air conditioning are the supermarket and maybe the banks...

Well... it looks as though this High Pressure center hovering above my head is keeping things quite cold and dry up here, while pleasantly allowing our neighbors to the south to experience the white stuff. Please... enjoy it while you can... :D

It's going to be another cold night tonight... forecasts of -20* to -30*... again... though this is supposed to be the last night before the snow comes and warms things up... (*nods* you heard me right... the snow will actually warm things up...) this weather makes for great star-gazing... if you're careful not to get frostbite... :roll:

What amazes me most about this winter, is that despite all of the bitter coldness, locally, we haven't broken any record lows.... not a one! :cry:

oh well...

*stokes the fire*

Amanzi - Congrats on the anniversary! We'll understand if you're "not available" tonight... ;)

Southerngale - you'll get snow one of these days... I just know it... maybe tonight will be your lucky night... ;)

- gator.

Good evening, ya'll, and welcome back, Dennis! I'm glad
you're finally getting the moisture that you need! I DO feel
for your son, but, then, you know that he won't need any
help falling asleep, tonight, eh? :ggreen:

We've had ice and sleet, rain, then
sleet, again...jeez...tomorrow morning will be the same
repeat of my sloooow drive to work, but, anyone is welcome
to pass me, cuz "granny" is taking my time! Downright messy...

Southerngale, I'm glad that your doc is working to get to the
bottom of your problem. You know my next question...LoL...
when is your followup visit? :wink:

Happy Anniversary, Amanzi! I wish you many more!

Gator, the thoughts of temps that cold make me shiver in my chair!
I appreciate you keeping the fire going here, though - it sure
does feel great!

Like cycloneye, I had been wondering where Rob was. I thought
that maybe I had missed a post where he might have said that
he would be gone a few days or something. Lord, I just hope that
he and his neighbor haven't had another snowblower battle! :o
Hope he posts, soon.

Ya'll have a good evening, now!

Good evening everyone. Sitting here drinking a fine wine thinking how I missed everyone. I finally got my second hand computer. The screen does not fill up the whole area. Ive tried to fix it bit to no avail. Any suggestions? Well its damp and misty here. High in upper 30's. We had ice a couple of days without any real problem. Just wanted to pop in to say hi. I can now so that anytime I want.

Me, too, Jacki - looks like me and you are the late-birds, tonight!

Up at 5:30am - sleet in the forecast for my drive in to work.
But, as the song says, "I owe, I owe...it's off to work I go!"

LoL...:ggreen:

Stokin' the fire to keep all you sleepyheads warm.

Nitey-nite, WxBuds!

Welcome back Dennis! We've missed you here!! Don't be such a stranger!

Hmmm!! Maybe I'll send a seperate email to Chris and ask how much more character he thinks he has now!! :roll: :roll: :wink: Your snow pictures are INCREDIBLE!!! It is good to know your foot is improving. I know what a slow process that can be!! :cry:

Amanzi!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
BTW, were you the dessert??hehehe :?: :?: :?: I imagine you play the part of the "sexy wife" rather well! :wink: :D

Gator!!! BBBBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how anyone can function in that weather!!! I have to bring in more logs just from reading your post!!! :wink: I live in the most air conditioned city in the world!! We've already had ours running a couple of times this year!

Looks like I outlasted the ladies tonight! I'll throw a few more logs on the fire even though Dennis got it burning real well with those juniper logs.

Till next time!

No David, don't stop that dancing yet - we have a few more storms to go. Remember you are the relay between the West (that's both California & Arizona where the storm's originated via land/sea interaction) and back East - of the Mississippi that is...

Hi guys, enjoy the storms - more on the way 8)

Dave, you didn't outlast me! It's 1:45am and I'm up yet...and I have an 8am class! Yikes!!! I really should be headed to bed, but I'll see what comes up. My Chemistry Lab report kept me up.

Dennis...welcome back buddy! Long time no see!!!

I'll see how much time I have on my hands next week, 3 midterms, at least 2 quizzes, work, an ASVAB test, and Green Bay Habitat Youth Build Steering Committee, 2 plasma donations all within a span of 5 days! Next week will be what you call a stamina test! But then once that is over...time to celebrate! Party hardy for my 21st.

Everything needs to be done before spring break...and right now, all is falling to next week.
Environmental Geology midterm, physics quiz, Calculus make-up problems all due on monday;
Plasma donation, ASVAB test, work on Tuesday ;
Chemistry II exam, work, Habitat on Wednesday;
Chem Lab report due, Calculus quiz, work on Thursday;
Physics Take Home midterm due, Plasma donation on Friday...goodness, I hope I got everything!

Amanzi...Happy Anniversary!

Well I should probably head to bed. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

Shannon...
I am amazed you can keep all your ducks in a row. I guess I could too if I put more effort into it. I respect all the hard work you do.

Amanzi, I hope that peach cobbler was delicious ;)!

Dennis welcome back and I remember the days when I was in charge of the driveway. Some mornings I still am, although my younger siblings now take their turns as well :multi: .

Hope everyone has a swell day and stay warm Gator!

Bubbly got to the head a bit this fine wet morning? Might want to try a "hair of the dog that bit you". Might not help but wouldn't hurt either :D

LOL MF..... I cant even smell the empty wine glasses this morning, let alone do the hair of the dog thing!

Chad I think you may get a thunder shower later on, looks like that band is heading your way. Still a little drizzle here now.

Hooray! We've hit the big 2 - 0 on the trusty digital thermometer. No need for a jacket today, my warm-blooded weather friends... ;)

Amanzi... make sure you don't operate any heavy machinery for... uhh... awhile... ;)

Chadtm80 - you're goin' shrimpin' Bubba...? mmmm... make sure you save a few to throw on tha PBS Bahrbie... ;)

Shannon - I remember taking the ASVAB all those years ago in high school... everyone had to take it regardless of their desire to serve in the armed forces... I guess I must have done really well on it because I got called by the recruiters every Saturday for the next 4 years... ;)

vbhoutex - It *is* possible to function... It is said that our tolerance of extreme cold bears the same relationship as the notion of tantric to sex... (and sometimes, one serves as a means to the other!) ;)

*stumbles in, crawls to stove, displays symptoms of withdrawal*

"must .... post ..... storm2k"

Geez, I was only off-line one day. It's sorta like being absent from work, and you come back to a full in-basket and missed out on all kinds of excitement. :D

Was up late last night helping my daughter with a project that was due today. Now why do they wait til the last minute? Probably the same reason why I did when I was a kid.

Have a great day, gang! :D
