On the beach in Biloxi winds out of the south 10-15 mph, copious amounts of rain today, humidity off the chart... very tropical, overall uneventful... waiting for something to develop somewhere... very slow August continues... looking like a possible shutout!

Looks like 1000mb circulation is just about closed off on the MS Coast per Earth Nullschool
850 and 700mb vorts just south of Mobile Bay

Buoy 42039 shows a surface pressure of 30.04 and the sunset visuals look like standard afternoon thunder storms from Satellite. You would be seeing fast moving scud clouds a couple hundred meters above the ocean if there is anything tropical in the area.

Had a diurnal low pressure of 29.78 over the weekend off Brownsville but the light shear of bone dry air didn't even allow any convection!

Lowest pressures currently are in the east gulf off the Keys and Fort myers FL

Pressure in Biloxi is now at 30.00 was 30.04 a couple of hours ago

Lottle vort is spinning ashore at mobile. Looks like later a large convective mass will push offshore. Will be interesting to watch this evolve. Some may try to get going again if it pushes far enough offshore

This weekend may be busy for the GOM.
Possibly two areas to watch.
Euro has the NW.
GFS Legacy showing a broad 850mb vort going thru the Straits of FL Fri and into the SE GOM.
Keeps it intact into Tuesday for landfall around Mobile Bay.
