Whether this thing ramps up or not, we certainly won't need it followed by Dorian. Feast or famine is not good either way.

over the Upper Texas coast and western Louisiana. Although further
development of this system is not expected, it will likely bring

NE of Houston and heavy rain means I need to gas up the car. Rain was predicted and not a drop but last I checked, the humidity was only 55%. Hope the "dry" air goes away enough to get us a good soaking.

From all I've seen it's too early quite yet to tell. I've seen no models yet myself to suggest it.

I thought we were considering a second area in the gulf somewhere near buoy 42002 or just north of there?

Surface pressures have been slowly dropping in that location over several days as the shear from the southeast wanes.

Looks like some rain filled in on the backside in SE Texas. It’s low 80’s and breezy here which is great for late August. All bark so far, but we’ll see overnight and tomorrow when the storms refire

We got socked by the tail feeder in downtown New Orleans this afternoon. Took me 70 minutes to get about 8 blocks. Haha. 4-5+ inches in about an hour and a half. That used to happen every few years but not every few weeks. I thought it would rain overnight but it mostly waited. :/

Does anyone buy the EURO ensembles that 90L will rejuvenate and move into the NE GOM in 72 hours? I have watched the visible satellite and there seems to be a rotation around the SE US but no low marked on the forecast maps?
