At 5pm Dorian is at 11.5N... At 11am this morning Dorian was to reach 11.5N at 11pm tonight... Subtle right/north shifts could have significance down the road???

Recon is almost there.

Should be able to catch what is going on with this latest convective burst.

That is one heck of a convective pop over center! I wonder if it’s going to be able to sustain or die off?

That's an upper level mission. not low level recon.

NHC mentions that one possibility is still it stays north of Hispaniola and remains a hurricane.

They have been releasing dropsondes that give vertical profiles of the atmosphere.

Interested to see where they release those dropsondes near the system.

If it stays north of Hispaniola does that indicate it stays east in the Gulf?
