Yes a supertyphoon it will be but it will recurve to the east of Japan but also there is another storm east of Japan now but no threat also.That WPAC basin is the most active on in the tropics all year around.

During Oct-Dec they get the low latitude trackers as pacific high builds further south in response to westerlies. Typhoon Paka and Pongsona hit Guam during December and the 2nd strongest typhoon of modern times, named Keith, moved north of Guam in Oct. with est. 175mph winds. Yeh, the late fall and early winter is pretty actine over there!
