See y'all next year....

#1 Postby Johnny » Wed Oct 22, 2003 12:27 pm

At least in this forum. I'm gonna go ahead and say that the CONUS is in the safe zone for the rest of this hurricane season. I want to thank each and every one of you for lending an ear and teaching me alot about the tropics in general. It sure was entertaining and educational for me this hurricane season. A great bunch of people and I can't wait till next year. Have a goodin'.

Stick around if you want! There will be people posting on tropical systems in the Western Pacific, North and South Indian oceans as their hurricane seasons will be getting underway shortly!

I hope you aren't leaving storm2k Johnny. I agree the CONUS tropics are over for this year - unless we have a freak system happen.

See you in the Winter Forum. I agree with Typhoon Willie - somewhere there is always a tropical system happening.

Johnny - agreed that the CONUS is likely safe from hurricanes for the rest of year (unless we get something like Kate in 1985). Hope to see you in the other forums. I will still be checking in here from time to time throughout the Atlantic tropics "off season".

The Atlantic Basin Hurricane Season isn't over. The chances of one or two more storms is still a possibility and landfalling storms or not, they are still discussed here.

I wouldn't totally write off a possible landfalling tropical system, no matter the strength.

I will be on this and all the forums every single day.
