Once the outer bands die down a little with the loss of daytime heating, look out. Could be some 9+" totals according to CAMs.

Imelda's center is just south or me. Zero wind (not a wind event) and light rain in SW Houston. Heavier rain is to my south and southeast, it may pass mostly to my east.

Yes, The core/center is really starting to rear its ugly head. Some crazy rainfall rates are showing-up now. It's gonna be a long night.
I'm afraid 9" may be conservative.

Where are you exactly? I'm getting nothing but sprinkles in NW Houston. The boards on my fence still have dry spots.

Has the storm slowed down? I caught a bit of Channel 2 weather at 6 p.m. and that was the impression I was left with.

It seemed to stall, but it was just a loop. Just made another jog north. It may be up to downtown Houston in a few hours at this rate. Lots of "what if's" with this one. Not behaving like the models projected. It may stall...or it may not. Who knows at this point...it's really a nowcasting situation.
