Not much rain, but unlike the past spotty rains that missed me, at least I got some. But I doubt it will go beyond .10.

Sitting outside on porch, no wind, very humid and 79 degrees, lightening off to the NW and I hear thunder. Hopefully this cell will pass over me. This invisible rainshield over my area sucks ass!

Some steady rain now, nothing heavy yet. The fam and I moved to Farmers Branch in August to be closer to our daughter's school so a different reporting station from me now. Riverside and Royal Lane.

Unless there is some additional development, this looks like a major bust for all the models showing multiple inches of rain for DFW. Maybe some areas south and east score? Storms are racing off towards outflow boundaries...

Ended with .74 so happy to be wrong. Hoped for an inch, but this is the most in months so no complaints. There is another round that may clip me.

We got skunked here in Southern Collin County and it looks like DFW picked up 0.5". Should be some bigger totals in S. Dallas with that cell moving through. SPC meso shows some strong 850mb frontogenesis, so maybe another round of rain later with that?

ETA: DFW now up to 0.5" as another cell pass through

Yeah we got skunked at my house too. I’m trying to be appreciative that I got a quarter of an inch however when I saw the forecast of 1 to 2 inches at my house, I can’t say that I’m not a little disappointed. As I mentioned on the previous page my foundation needs water like crazy and I’m spending 200 bucks a month in water just trying to keep up with it.

That said, the temperature is dropping quickly and I’m extremely grateful for that.

This is the first time I have been on here for about three weeks. Many in my area will definitely appreciate the cold front that is approaching! There are lots of people still cleaning out their homes. The cooler, drier weather will definitely be beneficial.

I know a lot of people on this forum are hoping that there is a major rain event soon for Texas, but I really hope that it does not involve my area. There is still standing water in many ditches nearby after all this time.

I just stepped outside.... and it feels like snow! :cold:

There's little mist droplets flying around and swirling in the wind and I was trying to focus on them to see if any snowflakes were mixed in... I don't think there are. Also, I can't even see my breath, because it's not actually cold out... It just feels cold

This might take some time to acclimate to after the past several months.
