I saw a bunch of crickets down the street from me, and one in my office the other day! Yikes.

I gotta say it feels really good outside today! #summercancel

Amen!! Exactly what i was thinking. We sure would be the most cursed people on the globe if the one time in months we see a decent trough but we get no rain because of stupid subsidence (from the TS)

How many models show that system? Hopefully not many.

lot of focus on next week but I'm wondering about late Monday and Tuesday... the Euro has a narrow band of around 2 inches of rain for DFW but has even more just east of the metro while the GFS barely has anything, but FWD's AFD earlier was discussing the possibility of EPAC moisture(which seems promising) and possibly heavy rain somewhere.

Down to 40 here. Looks like many N and W if DFW are before freezing with some mid 20s scattered about. A couple more hours of coming to go.
Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful day today.

General guidance and ensembles continue to increase the risk of another cold shot in about a week's time. Fairly robust signal of a major trough over the central region of the US (ridge west-trough central-ridge east) that will favor a prolonged chilly second part of October.

Pacific warm blob watch alongside frontal induced tropical Pacific heavy rains.

38 here at the house this morning about 630am, went out to sit on porch and have my coffee, noticed all the frosty roof tops and could see my breath.

My firewood order arived last night, 64 cu.ft of post oak, and yes I believe it will be needed this season, more so than last year.

After a warm and wet Monday & Tuesday with temps in the 80s

NWS FTW

More seasonal temperatures will follow on Wednesday, but the break in rain chances will be brief. Warm/moist advection will quickly ramp back up in advance of another southern stream system, set to arrive on Thursday. This active, progressive pattern looks to continue well beyond the current 7-day forecast. For much of North and Central Texas, October is climatologically the second wettest month of the year, and the latter half of October tends to be the wettest part. The expected pattern is supporting an even wetter than normal outlook for next weekend and into the following week, which may help ease ongoing drought conditions.

00z American models are well SE of the Euro with the rain placement Monday through Wednesday. WPC seems to be favoring the Euro.

I watched Channel 11 at 10pm and he basically said this was gonna be our biggest rain event in weeks

I'm really not sure what to believe, obviously I wanna believe the wetter solutions but there's not a lot of support for it
