This is Unbelievable

#1 Postby Colin » Thu Oct 23, 2003 2:12 pm

As I was walking to school this morning, my friend told me that a stabbing occured near a pharmacy, which is near my house. It appears a 40 yr. old, perhaps mentally retarded, or doing drugs, stabbed a 9th grade girl as she was walking away from the pharmacy...fortunately, the 9th yr. old lived. The guy that did it ran and stabbed himself and killed himself as the police came.

Can't even feel safe in my own little town anymore... :grrr:

Sorry to hear about that Colin. Hopefully, this incident is the only crime committed in your neighborhood for a VERY long time.

That's one of the many dangers of walking to a convenient store before/after school.

Sorry to hear about that Colin.

Sorry to hear that Colin. Deranged people and/or drug dealers don't just live in the big cities. That was something that real life taught me, contrary to tv.

Here in Sikeston, they're still looking for a Chinese restaurant owner who is suspected of killing his wife in 1999...they think he may have fled to mainland China. :grrr: (The restaurant is still open; his relatives run it.)

How horrible. The good part about all of this is the 9th grader survived. Crime happens everywhere, even in rural areas. Hopefully, this is just an isolated incident.

Oh my Colin sorry to know about what happened near your house and that is why we have to be on guard for the bad guys even in our neighborhoods.

Hopefully nothing ... I feel for you, because I have to admit, something like this happened about 1/4 mile down the road from where I live a Halloween or two back (can't remember which). It was a shooting behind the supermarket that I frequent. :o I could hear the shots from here.

Colin....I feel your pain! Pinetop, just like your hometown, was virtually crime free until 2 years ago, by crime free I mean, violent crimes, there has always been petty theft, shoplifting, traffic violations and such but as far as murders go, our first happened 2 years ago and THEN.......we had our Dodge got broke into INSIDE our driveway last year, so much for GUARD DOGS "LOL!"
