Terri Schiavo Bill passes

Terri Schiavo has been in what doctors call a "persistent vegetative state" since 1990, when her heart stopped because of a chemical imbalance. Her eyes are open, but doctors say she has no consciousness.

I don't know if it's true, but I heard that her husband's doctors of choice have given the no-hope diagnois and that he will not allow her parents to call in their doctors to check on her. The parents feel that she could have been better with therapy, but he refused to allow it.

I understand the vegetative state. But allowing someone to starve to death is not the way to do things.
