Big changes coming according to the Euro EPS. I was thinking we would turn wetter before turning colder. Now we wait for the cold.

Merry Christmas everyone! Rain chances return later this week and again around New Years as the pattern looks to turn more unsettled. We'll have to wait for the cold to return in January. We need rain more than cold right now though.

Hang in there folks!! I know just from following this thread over the years, that y'all are aching for wintry weather and hopefully Mother Nature will stop this cruel game with us concerning some real winter weather coming real soon. The pendulum will swing the other way to us cold weather lovers way soon!!
In the meantime, I wanted to take this time to wish you all out in the Lone Star state and everyone else on the Storm2K forum a very Merry Christmas and the best this holiday season!!
Yeah even to you too '57
Yes, looks like a pleasant Christmas this year. I couldn't ask for a whole lot better weather. Could be a bit warmer I suppose, but it'll be warm enough for a long bike ride.
All that reminiscing about the extreme cold of the 1980s. I remember those cold years well. That's when I started working on my heat generator and prototype wall to keep that cold air out of Texas. Seems to be working.
Merry Christmas, all!

Merry Christmas everyone! It's a very warm Christmas up here in the Ozarks too. I've been seeing some videos on You Tube showing the pattern is about to change to colder in a couple of weeks. I hope they are right.

7 years ago today was the best Christmas in (probably) my lifetime. I know DFW only got a trace but my house got around 5 inches in the afternoon. Genuinely one of the best shows of my life.
Merry Christmas storm2k!!

Big SOI crash going on likely is signaling a big storm system sometime in the 7-10 day period.

I mean, it is still blue for most of Texas which is good. Sometimes being in the heavier side isn’t the best case scenario anyway, so i’m happy to see a map with any good precip at this point with how dry the state has been recently.

I will be on the coast during the 12/31-1/3. Looks like 1/2 will be a wash for fishing. Will this storm be severe? We will be east of Galveston.

That is a bizarre pattern. Cold in AK. Cold in the central US.

If there’s not going to be snow, then give me warmth and maybe some storms. I don’t want any of the cold that doesn’t have a little snow with it!
