TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1130 AM EST SUN OCT 26 2003

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

A WELL-DEFINED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM...THE REMNANT OF FORMER
TROPICAL DEPRESSION NICHOLAS...IS EMBEDDED WITHIN A DISSIPATING
FRONTAL ZONE ABOUT`940 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA. THIS SYSTEM
IS MOVING SOUTHWESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH AND A GRADUAL TURN TOWARD
THE WEST OVER WARMER WATER IS EXPECTED LATER TONIGHT OR MONDAY.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS MAY BECOME MARGINALLY FAVORABLE FOR THIS
SYSTEM TO REDEVELOP INTO A SUBTROPICAL OR TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING
THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

CLOUDINESS AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED OVER THE SOUTHWESTERN
CARIBBEAN SEA ARE SHOWING NO SIGNS OF TROPICAL DEVELOPMENT.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH MONDAY.

This TWO was certainly a surprise to me, I really thought Nick was a done deal! Just goes to show you the tropics are always one up on us.

I noted that it was still separate from the frontal boundary in thhis thread earlier. The GFDL brings Nicholas back to an entity once again (probably more due to a strong pressure gradient from the STRONG Central Atlantic High than anything else.) But once again, the remnants just doesn't want to go quietly in the night.

Kudos to the NOGAPS 5 days ago keeping Nicholas separate from the frontal system.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged
