Watching radar downstream and model trends, this HRRR band of snow to the SE of DFW might end up farther NW across portions of DFW.

Winter time post are almost exclusively focused on the DFW area.

Well, was it worth it?
Wasn't as crazy snow wise as I was expecting but a free place to stay can't beat that lol
Some more pictures before I left this was at Interstate 44 right before the Oklahoma border north of WF

Off and on snow at Discovery Park in Denton. Pretty big flakes for a little bit. Nothing sticking on roads atm

Very consistent sleet/rain mix while the radar indicates the sleet line is inching towards me. Hoping it doesn’t run out of time.

I can confirm a steady falling of snow up near Denton and Grayson county line in Tioga, TX. Been snowing at a good rate now for about 25 minutes.

Radar indicates snow falling...instead, nothing is falling!

There is a band of what was rain and freezing rain that has changed over to snow north of Kerrville. Though I’m not sure if it’s reaching the ground. And there is also a band of rain and snow west of San Antonio heading east. I have my doubts, but we are forecast to go below freezing, so I hoping for some snowflakes.

We have a chance later this evening! I'm not expecting much more than a few flakes, but maybe we will be surprised

Are there any reports of that activity reaching the surface?

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation
Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?
All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Re: Texas Winter 2019-2020
Light snow—and some moderate snow occasionally—has been falling here in Denison for an hour plus now. Front lawn has a fairly solid white dusting on it.
Thank goodness—sure would have hated for this day to be ruined with this worthless cold. Otherwise, it would have been nothing more than a winter day with temps in the 30s. Whoever heard of such weather in early February.
Guess I’ll go back to sitting by the fire and enjoying some hot stew.
