This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Well the tropics are quiet yet again. The question now is if they will stay quiet the rest of the year.

If the Western Caribbean was not there, the tropics would be over, but now we must always keep an eye on the tropics. Even in April. What if Ana would have become a hurricane and hit Bermuda? That's why we always need to watch. BTW.... Parma is making me dizzy!

There is still spinning in the Carribean. While that excist, it must be watched, even late in the season.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Opinions my own.

I agree with both of you. It's nearly November but the Gulf and Caribbean need to be watched. Wasn't Mitch a late October storm..?
