That said, Monday April 13th is consistently showing up on the gfs as a day that may need to be watched for severe weather, though it’s a ways out and the 500mb pattern hasn’t been very consistent. Anyone have any thoughts? Professor? Bueller?

I'm not seeing much for the 13th, perhaps a small shortwave that's moving through. Always got to be careful with those, but right now the low pressure is up in the great lakes and the GFS has a strong CAP over Texas until right up against the front. Next weekend looks interesting on the Euro though for the Southeast. If the 12z is correct it could be a pretty potent outbreak near my neck of the woods.
