Forecast was 102 and they are stuck at 97. Tomorrow will be hard to get to 100 with an increased potential for some linger clouds from overnight storms.

Yeah but does it really matter when the heat index is a stupid 111F? Didn't think so

Nice line of storms across northern Oklahoma this evening. Will be interesting to see if they can hold together overnight to give me some rain. SPC expanded the slight risk into extreme NE TX.

Is there a way for me to upload images to this site? Or does it have to be hosted elsewhere?

Dew points are lower today. This means 100+ will be easier. HOT.

Thunder, lightning, wind, and decent rain overnight in Denison. Even a severe thunderstorm warning for awhile.

Yard got a good drink, and for that, I am thankful!

It's unbearably hot here today. A lot of people complained about the heat last Summer where I'm at in Louisiana, but it really wasn't that bad. I don't remember the heat index getting much above 100, there may have been a few heat advisories, but I don't remember any excessive heat warnings issued. :x

Almost halfway through summer. 2 months to go until the heat starts to fade. Hurry up fall!

Yea, and La Niña autumns are not that great either. I am worried about what rain chances will be like especially in October.

In the research I performed in a physical climatology class, I learned that at least in Louisiana, there is not a strong correlation between ENSO and precipitation in the fall. The signal between precipitation and ENSO is much stronger in winter and spring.
