sounds like my son-he graduates from the UofA with his degree in Atmospheric Sciences this coming May 17th. Everytime I ask if he's getting any sleep he always says "what's that?".

I don't know what sleep is either! You learn fast in college how to function on 2-3 hours of sleep! A matter of fact, I'm sitting on that right now. Surprisingly, I was the first person up in my apartment this morning, usually one of my roommates gets first crack at the shower.

Gator...I have problems with computerized tests! Major problems. I took the ACT 2x and didn't get above a 18. (my gpa put me in college! It wasn't a 4.0, but it was up there.) Anyways, off that subject. When I'm taking standardize tests, I tend to over think the question (even though it is sooo obvious.) I also will zone out and forget how to fill in the bubbles (yes, it is weird, but it does happen)...ask my professors on that one. My AirForce Recruiter told me to relax...it should be simple (because of my academic background)...so I'll see what comes up on Tuesday.

Garrett...sometimes I don't even know what is going on...that is why I have a planner and I keep it open and on my desk. When people are looking for me, I usually tell them to call my cell because otherwise, you will not be able to get a hold of me. I have to keep asking myself, what day is today?

Good evening, all! Misting rain and foggy, here, with a present
temp of 40F. I commented to someone, this morning, that, if the
sun ever comes out, again, we'll all be frightened and yelling,
"Aaaaaargggh!! What is that, in the sky?" :o

Southerngale, I can see where "rest" is more of a beautiful
dream than a reality for you...LoL...well, the doc had to tell
you that, anyway! He should go over your tests with
you on March 10th. I'll be waiting for word on your findings!

David, I saw you log on just as I logged off, last night. LoL,
I couldn't hold out any longer, Brother...the eyes were quickly
fading on me.

Good to see you back, Isobar - missed ya!

Gator, don't get a sunburn, buddy...glad you got some "warm" (?)
weather, today!

Amanzi, glad you enjoyed your anniversary! You GO, girl! 8)

Ya'll have a good evening, Wxbuddies!

Evening all.

Just thought I would pop my head in and see what you were all up too.

It was a rather misserable overcast day here for the most part. I just read a post by stormsfury over in the weather forum and it looks like I am in for more rain, so I guess I will be wondering where the sun is to breeze.

Southern you take care now you hear!! I only have a three year old, so I pity you very much...lol. I can understand just 1\3 of your stress :o

Well everyone. Take care and have a good 'night

Well another day has come and gone and I have had the chance to post away today. I may reach 1,000 before you know it! It is freezing drizzle outside tonight and it looks rather icky, but I will have to get in the morning and brave the 45 minute commute because I have an exam tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great evening and I will try to log on in the morning and throw another log on the fire so it will be nice and warm for the late-risers...hehehe!

#651 Postby vbhoutex » Fri Feb 28, 2003 1:01 am

It was starting to cool down a little(at least for a southerners liking! )
I mean, isn't anything below 70 cold? J/K But what is cold to me is heaven to someone like Shannon!!

This will be short tonight since I need to still put the trash out for tomorrow and get some beauty sleep.

Dennis I heard Dave Schwartz(sp?) say the White Mountains of AZ are living up to their name on TWC tonight! Is it still snowing? Can you see out from the windows any more? :?: :o

Chatted with a GOOD FRIEND AND AMATUER(in his eyes)MET tonight. He sent me some model images that tell me the South from TX to GA needs to keep their eyes on the weather for the March 8-9 area. Could be a DOOZY!! More later after I take a longer look!

Tomorrow is a busy day so I may not show till late. Have a GREAT TGIF
EVERYONE!! :D :D :D :D :D

That fire's going pretty good, even though you all are dropping like flies. C'mon, 5 hrs of sleep isn't enough? We'll have to leave it up to our west coast friends to keep things going around here.

*Yawn* Pleasant dreams :) ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Morning everyone! I arrived just in time to keep the fire from going out! Whew... I'll throw 3 logs on for good measure. That should keep it going for a while.

I have a busy day ahead of me. I hope to check in later this evening. Everyone have a good day and post away and chip away at Rob's lead.

Morning all...thanks for throwing those logs on.

Woke up to another round of rain and t'storms. this pattern is getting a bit boring now (if the storms were a little more exciting I guess i would not be saying that) It is nice to hear the rumble of thunder again.

Jacki, I hope you dont bush yourself out to much girl!

Have a good day all :)

The first thing they teach you in firefighting school is to start fires. That way you can put them out. :)

The most exciting morning here with the thunderstorms. I heard some faint rumbles and had some rain overnight and then was woken up by a loud rumble at 9:45 AM ET. Nice to hear the rain and thunder (and see lightning) on February 28th in central Florida.

It was 61 degrees a few hours ago and now it is currently 60, falling just under a degree during this period.

I was wondering the same thing about the Rob. I haven't seen a post from him for a few days. I haven't been here as much as I could be.

I have noticed, he hasn't been posting (at least) for a good three days. Hopefully nothing serious has happened. I assume he is spending more time offline and perhaps out of the house. I did remember saying he was looking for a job and will be working nights.

We shall see...
