correct. I know we're supposed to pretend that we don't want any weather action despite being weather fanatics. I don't do that. I enjoy low end tropical systems and other cool (and cooling) weather events. Here's to hoping for more benefit than harm. And yes...sit on the porch with some cold ones and enjoy..

Organization is definitely improving, but for now, the system lacks a well-organized inner core. Almost like two separate halves of precipitation. Until that changes I doubt we see significant intensification. That doesn't mean an inner-core won't form, but the broad nature of the system is keeping it in check.... for now.

Not sure if that tower's going to go left or right.

A NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft is
scheduled to investigate the depression this evening, and the
current expectation is that they will find it is a tropical storm.

I see that the NHC bumped up the winds at landfall to 50 kts. Matches my advisory. Yes, it certainly could be stronger. That's always possible.

Definitely the season for highly impressive depressions. This one looks like an October monsoon trough system; really good thing it doesn't have that much time to explode

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

I don't think I have ever seen a TC vent so quickly and so perfectly as this.
Amazing.

Really good structure so far. I’m close to hopping on board the “hurricane before landfall” train, but its core needs to improve if it ever wants to be anything more than a moderate TS.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

The BoC ULL is dissipating.
The ULL over the Mexican desert is taking over and firing convection quickly.
Two big sinks for ventilation - poleward and equatorward outflow channels.
Very rarely see this in the Atlantic.
Pretty much a WPAC characteristic.

pressure nearly down to 1006mb

at the bouy which is not in the center yet.. about 50 miles away.

central pressure is probably around 1004 mb.

recon found 1008 to 1009 mb earlier with TS force winds..

4 MB drop roughly.. lol

The outflow is impressive. The organization is getting better over time. Convergence is improving.

CAPE settling down a bit and tower dissipating.
It didn't go left or right, just straight south.
Recon will tell us what happened shortly.

What does this mean for this storm? Sorry I’m a newbie to all of this.

Convection quickly wrapping around the east side from those towers heading to the north side.
