Have to say no matter what 92L does I would say it has earned a place in the story of the season just for it's sheer size and the model disagreement/center forecasting

New convection firing near the center now. Looking a lot better than it did earlier.

You're talking about right ontop of Barbados? Yeah I see that too, I hope the recon goes into it.

Well, I mean it's not like thre's any other system to talk about here. Plus this thing can range from a strong hurricane to nothing. One thing is for sure, as annoying as forecasting this thing has been, it also has been very interesting to follow.

Firing extremely cold convection right now, and maybe the very beginning of some banding

Thinking they might find a closed low just west of Barbados. That is if they go that far south

You mean you weren't expecting (what's already the second iteration of) 92L to be a huge-sprawling-wave-with-multiple-LLC's-that-looks-like-it's-lost-from-the-WPAC that books it across the MDR in late July and drives the models, NHC, and even recon crazy?
C'mon, it's 2020! Should've seen it coming months ago...

Still looks like a massive open wave to me.. I really hate tracking these fast moving waves that never close off a circulation.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

It's definitely frustrating, honestly.

Honestly this could hit my home of Mobile. The trend is kind of headed that way.

I agree, but I think there is no way you can look at a picture 24 hours apart of PTC 9 and say it doesn't look significantly more organized. Has a ways to go, especially if it wants to be anything strong, but it's a start

It's definitely trying to get its act together. It'll probably be named by 5pm tomorrow.

If it keeps barreling west and decides it wants to head for AL for whatever reason, mom has an apartment in Foley so I might just make a quick scramble down there... haven't gotten to 'chase' a storm at the coast since Cindy a few years back heh

Colors of lost purpose on the canvas of irrelevance
Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.
