That is quite a lot of 60-65 kt FL wind, but SFMR estimates are around 55 kt. Given how it’s not the most organized thing in the world, I’d be comfortable with an upgrade to 55 kt for Isaias, unless they find far higher estimates.

Edit: why did I think that was 60-65 kt? It’s actually 80-85 kt peak FL winds. I’m too tired to see right lol

So those strong winds that were reported at the north DR coast may actually be legitimate judging by these recon findings.

Wow. And not even a borderline hurricane - 87kt FL equates to about 74kt at the surface with a 0.85 reduction.

Hipshot, it is way too early to speculate that. I'm sorry, but it's going to take a few more days before speculations of impact can really be given.

Yeah, I'm just a weather nerd but I like to keep an eye on things like this, especially the spring time in north Texas where I live. The kids aren't going

I don't think that's ever happened - or it's extremely rare. But they found a clear center.
