The center is still down by Broward?!
Holy moley this thing is crawling. One thing that we can be fortunate is that this storm formed now rather than in late August or September...feel like this would have been a major problem if it were on Labor Day when conditions are typically ideal for eastern approaching storms. But this is not over yet, especially for points north!

ESE of West Palm now, It did a nice jog to the NNE when the convection popped again.

I knew the storm was becoming a ‘non-event’ as someone else called it, when I woke up this morning and saw only 3 pages added to this thread from when I went to bed last night, lol!

Yep. Pretty much a non event for FL. I'm certainly not getting anything worst than an afternoon thunderstorm here.

Now, it is not over yet The cyclone will bring a strong on shore flow as it moves along up the East Coast the next 24 hours, and there is a threat of storm surge up here in the Saint Johns River and Intracoastal Waterway , especially during the time of high tidelate tonight into early Monday along the Northeast Florida Coast.

Plus, we will see wind to TS ,with some higher gusts at the beach.

So, this still points toward a rather significant event before its all said and done for East Central and Northeast Florida.

We dodged one again here.
TS storm winds don’t make a significant event but a ton of rain and flooding can cause a lot of damage.
Luckily, the storm, whose name most couldn’t pronounce or spell; also has little rain with it for Florida.
Coming this close yet barely raining and garden-variety afternoon thunderstorm type winds; represent another bullet dodged by us in South Florida. Y’all up in Jax will hardly notice this one too.
It’s still only August 3 so there are probably more systems to come but the luck somehow continues!

Not much of anything in Sunrise. Not even sure that TS warning was ever justified no sustain winds across the mainland. Highest gust recorded by my wx station recorded was 24 mph overnight. Let’s move on now.

I think Isaias may have some surprises up its sleeve tomorrow as it nears the NC/SC coast. I posted this about 15 hours ago and my thoughts still hold true at this point:

if we can get some sun today even to the North and West then the effects of this storm might really be felt in SE florida

Na... the west side of this is lacking to much dry air and shear. Rainy Sunday

The morning burst of convection may bring some 40 knot winds onshore in a few hours up in Palm Beach.
Carolina forecast will take a few model runs.

there is plenty of low level moisture with the addition of daytime heating to make thunderstorms, wont take much sun to get there

Wind shear and dry mid-level air is not the friend of a hurricane, particularly a small one. Might see some brief 35-40 mph winds on the FL coast today. Little, if any rain. Heavy squalls will remain east of the track. I think Isaias will strengthen after passing east of Jacksonville when it starts moving WITH the upper wind. Could yet regain hurricane strength prior to landfall near the SC/NC border. That's where conditions have always looked the most favorable - NOT in the Bahamas.

Sheared cases like this are always tricky.
