Re: ATL: INVEST 95L - Discussion
Is 95L sucking up some of the moisture from the disturbance East of it? It looks like a long "cat" tail on visible satellite.

I can't believe how bearish it's gotten in here in the week or so since Isaias. This system will likely again set the record for the earliest J storm, and a huge MJO setup has been forecasted pretty consistently to come over thr next few weeks and stay for a good amount of time.

Has anyone noticed that none of the Satellite images have updated past 15:20 UTC? I think that is 11:20 am EST

There are problems with that one too. Many of the later images are tiled or missing. Are they having problems with the satellite?
edit: There is a message on TropicalTidbits that says the images are delayed.

Tropical Tidbits says GOES is having transmission trouble and is way behind. CIMSS is up to 1800 and NHS to 1900. CIMSS is definitely well ahead of TT; not sure with NHC because I only saw a full tropical Atlantic image.

Very sharp shear gradient across this now which is enhancing convection.

IR depicting outflow in all quads except SE of the CoC.
Some convection is moving in and will hit the LL inflow.
Likely convection will fire off then and drop the shear.
Could see some quick pickup in turning if that happens.

Not surprised.. kind of hard not to upgrade after 24 hours of sustained convection. albiet sheared.

Wow, little faster than I thought. Figured they'd wait until we had a super robust LLC, but hey, definitely looks the part.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Wow! That LLC is more circular than any that I've ever seen in such a poorly developed system...
