1005 mbar with a sharp pressure gradient, and enough 35 kt wind measurements to support TS Marco. Finally, it’s gotten it’s actually together.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Recon supports an upgrade (probably 40kt) at 11pm.

Winds on the SW side are unimpressive, but there is a very well-defined, tight pressure gradient that has seemingly improved since the previous pass. TD14/Marco could be going through a phase of rapid organization, and this will only be helped if more large hot towers fire off overnight.

From a meteorological standpoint it is going to be so fascinating to see how Marco interacts with Laura and which one really develops, this season has been full of surprises and still hyperactive we are 50% above the average ACE.

40 kt SFMR winds with that 1003 mbar reading. Marco’s really getting his act together.

1003 seems like a significant drop in such a short time. This seems to have certainly taken off.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Local met just said on a live that TD14/Marco will go further south towards Corpus/Mexico and Laura is the storm Texas needs to be concerned with. He is predicting a Hurricane at landfall.

He must be betting on that low over Mississippi to move or dissipate and high pressure to build in.

Yeah, Laura is increasingly becoming a concern for TX. With the forecasted conditions, she could make a run at a major if the westward trend holds.

What do you think that means for track? Your post is, as usual, cryptic. 8-)

According to the best track data, TD14 has developed into TS Marco.

Now the earliest 13th named storm by 11 days. Another 2005 record down the drain.
