Cat 1
SFMR, Unflagged, 30 Sec 68.0 knts
Makes sense, FL winds progressively increasing on each pass of the NE quad.

Per the visible the storm is still expanding the CDO a bit to the SW, so it could fight off the shear for a while.

An upgrade is inevitable. Almost 70 kt FL and SFMR winds, and the pressure has dropped a bit too.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Fairly broad area of flight level hurricane force winds as well. This has room to get stronger IMO.

Not an meteorologist! Just someone who is interested in weather. Please refer to the NHC and local weather officials to make decisions.

Eyewall must be more complete than last night. Winds in the western side are much higher now

People in southern LA should keep an eye on this one, though it is small it might stall and give exceptional rains there as it washes out to the west.
