Due west of you over here on the Gulf, and we were getting squalls ALL night last night....from Marco, I'd assume.

It would be wise to just follow the NHC if you live in an area threatened by a storm. Everything else is just conjecture and discussion.

Here is the last radar ill make since there is not much to track because of the terrain. but you can extrapolate.. the MLC/LLC is past the mountains in that valley beelining for water ..

LLC/MLC looks to be approaching Granma

So the Weather channel is using the Euro for it's track for Laura. Now I am confused as far as what the NWS out of Lake Charles said at their live streaming at 4:00pm saying it would be east of Cameron. Not sure what to believe know.

Information from this board usually gives me about a 12 hour jump start on official evacuations. I don't think there's enough time this time. Hopefully either direction or intensity is off.

Pretty sure they said Euro. In fact my local met said Laura would make land fall around New Orleans. Could have been mixed up on the systems. Guess to much watching on models.

Well here in South Louisiana, they are already issuing voluntary evacuations for flood prone areas, if you live in habitats that might have problems with Hurricane strength winds, have medical problems, however there are no local or state shelters set up yet.

They must have confused Marco with Laura then.

You are probably right. Too much time watching all this stuff with the every changing models.

If the current forecast of 15 inches with a fast moving storm holds. That would not be bad. Harvey was 60+ and Imelda was 40+ and scattered. Now my only concern is a Rapid Intensification Cycle. RITA devastated the area with widespread trees snapped (Pines) or uprooted (Oaks).

Is there a place the most current individual models are located?
