A long way to go before she tops out.
Was just seeing that. Such a convection machine here. Looking like a another bid drop in pressure coming and even more build out of the eyewall.

Re: ATL: LAURA - Hurricane - Discussion
The pressure drops in the last 24 hours have been impressive, but now that the eye is starting to clear out and tighten up, the drop rate could increase.

Re: ATL: LAURA - Hurricane - Discussion
Amazing that this storm is hundreds of miles from Biloxi and we got about a 4 foots surge this morning around 7:00 am... looks like its falling now... if her wind field continues to expand and/or any further shifts east would only exacerbate the surge potential for early tomorrow in Biloxi
... just can't even image what it will be along the entire LA coastal line....

Lots of pink in that NE Quad this morning. If it makes landfall as predicted what area is in the NE quad? What cities?

Re: ATL: LAURA - Hurricane - Discussion
Laura has turned into a classic Gulf beast of the lineage of Katrina, Rita, Harvey, Ike, etc. She has joined the pantheon. And she's not done strengthening.
We are still dealing with the covid crisis as well.
Godspeed to all in her path.
