Can someone please tell me why radar velocities are increasing now too? I'm losing my mind.

Is Laura decreasing in strength or is it still pretty much as strong since it made landfall?

Reed hasn't said much. Maybe he's letting the video speak for itself. But I think he might also be realizing that they may miss the eye.

Edit: I'm beginning to really worry about Reed. He's gone totally silent, that isn't like him at all. The vehicle did drive forward earlier, but not for a while now. And the noise of the wipers, he isn't saying anything now.

He's right on the east edge of the eye that fluxed west as it hit him...

Somebody should have told him to drive a few miles west...

I hope he's OK, haven't heard him say a word for several minutes.

His wipers are squeaking on a dry windshield. Chasers don't want that Rain-X rubbed off. Getting a little worried.

Laura was probably entering an intensification phase to category 5 as it hit land...

Can't back up a Facebook live stream to listen for opening doors until it's not live.

He's been moving a little here and there. You can tell he's a chaser, look at the hood on his car! LMAO

I think I heard the door open and close about ten minutes ago when it first started to quite down

Yeah, he's not saying anything and he was talking a lot earlier so it's weird. That said, the camera is still rolling and it doesn't seem like the windshield is broken or else the sound would be a lot louder.

He's not in the car, he got into Mike's Tahoe like 20 minutes ago.

Other chasers just drove through the intersection and looked at the car. He must not be in there injured or they would have stopped.

Either he did get out of the car or something is wrong.

No way Reed isn't saying anything right now.

I didn't think the flying metal penetrated the car at all, but maybe it whipped around from the side?

There's definitely going to be some astonishing chaser video up in the next week, but before that we're going to have to deal with some absolutely cataclysmic shots of devastation come morning light. Not looking forward to it; everything sounds pretty much as bad as it was feared to be.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Also, Reed was in phone contact with a chaser in another vehicle who was right next to him so I assume they'd know if something was wrong, he's prolly OK...maybe went to the other vehicle?

Maybe he just left it there to record that building in front as it comes apart?
