Those southern members originate from the wave after this wave exiting tomorrow, which exits Sept 10th, correct?

After looking very closely, I see the one in FL Straits does come from the wave exiting tomorrow. But you’re correct that most of the rest of that SW group actually come from the 9/10 wave.

If anybody needs to be brought down from reality on a 350 hour plus GFS run they are in the wrong hobby

What exists under reality to be brought down to? 8-)

Another tropical wave located over western Africa is forecast to
move over the eastern tropical Atlantic on Sunday. Gradual
development of this system is then expected, and a tropical
depression is likely to form by the middle of next week while it
moves generally westward over the far eastern tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.

Showers and thunderstorms are showing signs of organization in
association with a tropical wave that is located just off the coast
of western Africa. Gradual development of this system is expected,
and a tropical depression is likely to form by the middle of the
week while it moves generally westward over the far eastern
tropical Atlantic. Interests in the Cabo Verde Islands should
monitor the progress of this system as gusty winds and locally
heavy rainfall is possible there on Monday and Tuesday.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent
