This wave was just taken off yesterday and only the past few hours gotten into a bit better shape, so the NHC is gonna wait maybe another day or so for it to get more organized before giving it another chance...

If this pans out as well as 94L there is a slight ossibility we could have 4 storms at once.

Plus on top of what you stated, some of the warmest ssts right now are in the NW Caribbean. So yes, no doubt, any vort down there has plemty of potential to really get cranked.

Re: Tropical Wave In the Western Caribbean
The convection is likely being enhanced by the shear from the defeated upper level low.
See if this area bursts again tomorrow on its own which would signify a stronger surface low.

Re: Tropical Wave In the Western Caribbean
Shear just absolutely just died.. nicely divergent flow for convection to continue.
only a little mid level winds. about 10 kts left.
plenty of moisture.. really nothing holding it back anymore.

....and poof it's gone!
There is a weak broad area of low pressure over South Florida that may be part of the wave axis.

Re: Tropical Wave In the Western Caribbean
I’ve watched this little system the past week or so and at one time it had a decent circulation, after quite the blowup yesterday afternoon, it’s hard to find this morning. Be that as it may, I did notice another weak circulation that’s just north of the Yucatán Straits in the southern most GOM.. both systems are circled in red in the sat view below..
