Which coincides perfectly with the tightening mlc observed on radar

The HWRF model shows the center bouncing around and very slow deepening for the next 12 to 18 hours after which it ramps up fast. I don't think we'll see much improvement today.

This is spectacular.. with radial gravity waves and "bow shock" at the leading edge. and the immense pressure wave that was thrust outwards!

Wow, Sally looks so much better than even a few hours ago. I know HWRF doesn't really ramp it up until tomorrow, but I wouldn't be surprised if it strengthens quite a bit today based on how it currently looks. Below is Sally 3 hours ago vs Sally now.

Isaias had a similar impressive convective bursting pattern E of FL, prior to steadily intensifying. Perhaps Sally will start ramping up this afternoon/evening.

Its picking up the high CAPE pool that always sits offshore of Houston.

As others have mentioned what an impressive explosion of deep convection radiating out in all directions. Looks like a bomb went off. One would think this would be the beginnings of steady intensification.

Seeing about 1/2 dozen little warm-core features pop in and out.

The current visible satellite Loop is a perfect example of the atmosphere being a fluid. A rapidly Rising thunderstorm hit the boundary that is the tropopause and it could only spread outward with gravity ways and all that. What a beautiful image.
