What a sneaky little thing!
It's okay, little TD 22, Alpha is a cooler name anyway.
Edit: Whoops...well, Beta is nice too!

Sadly for Wilfred, the NHC does not foresee a good future for him. Only a peak of 40 kt before becoming a remnant low in just 4 days.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Maybe he'll pull a Lee 2017 and regenerate into a major

There was a system that was tagged at like 10/20 that was heading out to sea in like JUne or something and as it was accelerating it was clearly a TS.
and a similar system in JUly.

Actually, the (early) Discussion from NHC forecasts Wilfred to reach hurricane intensity at 60 hr.'s. Tbh, I could see that occurring far sooner and very well stronger as well.

Are you sure you’re not confusing Wilfred with TD22?

That's TD22. Invest 98L way out in the Atlantic sniped the name.

That's why we need to stop referring to systems by names like "future Wilfred" or "future Alpha" or whatever, and call them by their rightful name (Invest 90L or TD 23 etc.).

Yes,actually convection has waned a bit since it was upgraded late this morning. For now, holding its own as a low end TS

Poor Wilfred is getting no love. Unlike the other W storm, it will likely be no more than a historical footnote.

Mm nayyy I don’t trust this one at allll. A weak system that keeps west towards the Caribbean...Sounds exactly like the scenario we’ve been concerned of this whole time.
We’ll see what happens when Teddy moves out of the way..
Plus how many times have these weak storms just refuse to die
