NWS TAMPA WATCHING INVEST TOO..........

#1 Postby dixiebreeze » Sun Nov 02, 2003 9:42 am

West central and southwest Florida forecast discussion
National Weather Service Tampa Bay area - Ruskin Florida
830 am EST sun Nov 2 2003

Currently...light showers streaming into the north and central
areas from the Atlantic. During the night these showers dissipated
quickly once over land...but they appear to be holding together a
little better. Current package handles this well.

Discussion...winds currently marginal for scec conditions...but
will keep up in anticipation of the low pressure system coming in.
Models still consistent on subtropical system coming in some time
Monday afternoon. Mesoeta brings it ashore around mlb...which is
good for its current motion. Most other models move it toward South
Florida. Either way atmosphere will be more moist so expect scattered
showers starting in the southern zones tonight and then all zones
the rest of the short term.

Tbw watches/warnings/advisories...small craft exercise caution
Bonita Beach to Suwannee river out to 60 nm...including Tampa Bay.

It calls it a "low pressure system". I wonder if the NHC will classify it today.. Even if it's just a TD or a weak TS/STS.

Guess as always.. We have to wait and see..

Hey who knows what they will end up doing, but I don't really think that the system is going to amount to much for us. Little windy maybe, as far as rain, well somtimes you get more wide spread rain with these less organized systems. Mean while we have to do what this season has taught us to do... Wait, Wait and Wait... :D
