It's certainly not gaining much lattitude. How far west can it realistically come? Lake Charles? LA/TX border?

Ventilation going to town now due to the fact its in the middle of the Anticyclone Rossby Wave Break.
Bordered by the Rossby Wave itself and a strong TUTT.

I think it could get back to Cat 4, to be honest.

Yeah it is getting very big with a 30 mile wide eye, this will take a little time ramping up completely, but once it does the ceiling is the limit, I just hope it doesn't bust through it. Feeder bands pretty much consume the whole Gulf.

Unfortunately for me I'm afraid the furthest West landfall will be is Grand Chenier, and come right over me.

You might want to start thinking about evacuating if you're able to. Stay safe out there.

Only way I'm evacuating is if it is mandatory. There is no mass evacuation shelters in the state of Louisiana, they are sending people to hotels.

I won't be surprised if this is near cat 3 strength when I wake up tomorrow.

Yeah. I get COVID is a big deal... But in my opinion they need to open shelters...

Blin, my heart goes out to you. It's hard enough to go through one of these things every now and then but to have to endure 2 of them within a month is horrible. If there was anything I could do for you I would. Please stay safe and maybe this thing will spring a leak before landfall and lose a bunch of air...

Absolutely. Chances of surviving COVID are a lot higher than surviving a major surge in a low lying area. Can wear a mask in shelter, can't do much about a 15 foot surge.

Any guess on the next advisory? Will they keep winds the same? Maybe bump them up a bit?

I think they'll bump it up to 100mph

Next advisory is at 10 PM CDT. I think they will either keep at 90 or bump up to 95-100 mph.

They don't do 95mph. I think they'll do 100 since it appears to continue to organize
