Does sports and outdoor activities do you enjoy?

#1 Postby PerficktGurl » Mon Nov 03, 2003 12:39 am

My first love has always been football (I play on a coed flag football team). Dad says if I'd been born a boy, he'd had himself a son playing for Auburn or Georgia Tech (hehe).

I've always loved gymnastics, but at 5'11", was too tall at an early age to ever dream of winning any Olympic medals. To satisfy my gymnastic urge, I became hooked on rock climbing while in high school. A couple of the newer malls, and several sports fitness centers in this area have indoor climbing walls, which gives me an opportunity to enjoy a great workout regardless of the weather outside.

No sports - too old for that now. Besides I've sprained my ankles over 8 times now (over 20 years). They turn very easily. Haven't done it in years though. I walk very, very carefully now!!!

Used to play co-ed softball. That's how I met my husband Jim! They joked he had a hitting streak going until I joined the team. Then his average went way down. We were all in it, only to party afterwards. Which was the real reason we got together back then! I played second base and catcher back then. I was fair.

I'm not into sports much anyway! I do like hiking and my family loves to go bike riding. Does tha count? LOL

Golf....played Walker Course Saturday ( Univ. of Clemson). What a perfect day...what a perfect course. The best part....my team came in 1st @ -9.

Not that I had much to do with it being Captains choice and me the C player. But I did make a few good shots.

Soccer, beach volley, basket, squash, motorbiking, mountainbiking, tennis.
Not recently anyway, my belly shows.

If you dare, I could post a nice pic of our basketball team in a classic
"nation lampoons" style... Let me know

Dennis, that is a very simple question:

FISH!!!!!!!

I only grew up with a brother around, so I got hooked on all the boy things, lol, camping, hiking, fishing, I love it all!! I am an outdoor person and nature lover, and that is the only reason why I am not the biggest winter enthusiast! (LOL- don't get me wrong, I am ready for the first snowfall, I just wish winter wasn't quite so long!!)

Golf, camping and fishing. I love work in my gardens around the house, but that's not a sport - it's a passion!!!!!

I have never played golf, my embarrassment at the put-put golf place was enough to know it isn't the sport for me!!

Dennis, you and Chad sound very much alike. That's his biggest problem too, which one to do, LOL. I'm not much of a sports person due to my clutziness (is that a word? LOL). But I do like the outdoors. I love swimming (and yes we can still swim right now in FL), going for walks with Dustin, and riding my bike. That's about the extent of my outdoor activities. ;)

Tennis, football and softball are sports I like to play. I also enjoy going for walks.
