My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

I'm impressed by the inner core organization. The convective structure is basically a single eyewall. I wouldn't rule out RI.

Yes, it was mis-aligned north to south. But it has improved its structure quite a bit. Lets see how it goes forward.

Do you guys see any more possible adjustment coming to the track? The current Water vapor loop I just saw on my local news ended with the eye.....Well South and West of where they had the official center located??

I've enjoyed tracking this storm much more than some of the massive amorphous blobs of convection that have crawled across the gulf, with intensity/changes in intensity an core structure basically a mystery. You can see Zeta building an eyewall in real-time thanks to the windfield broadening and initial diminishment of convection. These feeder bands have also been things of beauty, can't remember seeing outflow so expansive and symmetrical since Laura if not before that.

Zeta is getting better organized....just in time for recon. Should regain hurricane intensity tonight if convective trends continue.....MGC

It's 2020. It's in the Gulf. It's October. I wouldn't be ASTOUNDED...but I'd be surprised. Maybe small shifts east or west depending on speed.

Once again, the AF plane is having transmission issues and hasn’t reported in half an hour.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Hopefully not my friend...Wxman57 mentioned in an earlier post, that higher winds may be limited to a tiny area near the center....the Yucatan took a toll on Zeta, and hopefully it will stay a tropical storm.....I haven't spent much time following the storm, my sister is at MD Anderson in Houston not doing well, so I take breaks when I can to check in with yall.....

I think that the MS coast could see 50-60 mph sustained, particularly Gulfport to Bay St. Louis. Gusts to 100? Well, probably not THAT high.

Looking better and better. The eyewall looks just about closed completely. Zeta is intensifying for sure. I hope Recon is getting close as I think we are about to get some very interesting data from them, provided they have not turned back around. I hope they are not having mechanical issues.

Does the current trajectory bring the storm near or over New Orleans? Or is there still room for variation?

Not sure NDG. We have not heard from them in nearly an hour now. I hope they are not having other serious issues to cause them to turn back to Keesler.

Believe he was showing the UKMET or Euro runs in high res from earlier runs. Some do show 80/90mph gusts.

The loop shows an anticyclonic dance between them and the stream above the PVS. I don’t think it could catch up to Zeta in time. Really shows the structure of the atmosphere though.

It already has a partial stacked up high eyewall with a low level eyewall, is probably already close back to a hurricane.
