Good Morning!

Haven't been around too much as of late, with all that's going on in Calif etc.

First off, "WELCOME KB9GNO!" Pull up a chair, put up your feet and enjoy the glow of true wxbuddie friendship.

MAN......the WINDS yesterday were SOMETHING else....I had a peak gust OVER 60 MPH and it's suppose to be even WINDER today "AND" possible SNOW flurries tonight......it's a Halloween tradition, snow! I can remember MANY Halloweens growing up, you'd find the perfect costume only to be hidden under a heavy coat and snowboots "LOL!"

I haven't had time to go back and read all the posts, so HI to everyone and I hope everything is going well.

HOME DEPOT is "OPEN!" I never go to Grand Openings on the first day......TOO many people and let me tell ya, it was PACKED judging by the parking lot! We are going today......"PLEASE pray for me and my checking account and credit cards "LOL!"

Well.....off to the gym *augh*

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"

Good Morning and Happy Halloween!!!!!

Hey KB9, welcome to the stove. Sit back and enjoy the warmth of this friendly place.

Dennis, did I hear you right???? The GYM!!!!!!!! You are kidding, aren't you?? I thought the only Jim you knew was the one who beat you on the back nine. I really think Home Depot will be your next love. It's one of my favorite stores.

Well, I just stopped in for a minute. I'll grab a cup of coffee and brew some Earl Grey for Miss Mary, raine and all others. I gotta get some work done so I can leave here early and get ready for my little trick or treaters, all 150 of them!!!!!lol

Take care my friends

Welcome to Storm2k KB. Glad to have another West Coaster here at S2K!!! My dad was born in Anacortes. I tell you what- you live in GOD'S country up there!!! since I'm one of the forecasters here at S2K I'm going to be relying on you to warn us of any West Coast sliders coming in!! :D

I am at work right now waiting on a slow plotter. Seems like this is going to be a GREAT FIT for me. It is early in the game, but it feels good so far. At least I'm not going home poed at the boss every day!! :D

Since I'm sneaking this in I better scoot!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Good to meet you guys!!
vbhoutex, I'm a new west coaster, We just moved here last January so I'm new to the weather pattern here. I'm actually a mid-westerner :D
I'm originally from Southern Indiana. We then moved to (Fort Campbell KY ..we're military)Clarksville TN, were I became a skywarn spotter. Gotta love those tornadoes (when they don't hurt anyone) When I moved here to (Fort Lewis) Olympia, I was shocked to see how different the weather pattern was. No humidity? No A/C? WOW, that's a lot to get used to!!

It is very beautiful here though, I love the mountains and the puget sound.. however, I miss the storms :)
Just a little background info for ya.

Good Morning!

Well......I'm sure you've read by now, Marci, Michelles sister did in fact lose her house, truly sad, I can't even BEGIN to imagine the pain she is feeling, everything you have worked SO hard for, gone in the blink of an eye BUT....she still has her friends, family and most importanly, her own life!

On a lighter note, I did it, I went to Home Depot! MY GOD......I was WORSE than a kid in a candy store (or these days, a video game store LOL!) I'm sure they didn't appreciate having to follow me around with a mop bucket moppin' up all the drool! AND........I didn't buy ONE SINGLE thing! YES....take about DISCIPLINE! My hand went for the wallet NUMEROUS times but I held it back "LOL!" There was too much to look at, too much to buy, I have to take inventory of the wood shop to see what I "REALLY" need, besides, Christmas is JUST around the corner and the list just got a WHOLE lot bigger!

The WIND.......talk about WINDY!!! HOLY CRAP, we had gusts yesterday afternoon, one hit 64.5 MPH.....but, no snow *sigh*, I missed my guess, ah well, it'll be snowin' soon enough!

That's it for now, make it a GREAT day would ya?

Good Morning Folks!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween. I see alot of leftover candy and carmel apples here at the PBS. Dennis - you'd better stay away from them since now you're going to the gym!

The apple pie smells wonderful Ticka! Thanks! Crouton is eying it also!

Welcome KB! We love having new people stop by and introduce themselves! Stick around!

I love to go to Home Depot, but I actually prefer Lowes instead. They are dangerous stores indeed!

Well, at least I don't really have to go anywhere this weekend, though I do feel kind of trapped without my car. They're bringing in "concrete munchers" to tear down the one bearing wall that was left standing after the collapse and to start bringing down the rest of the garage. Dennis - they had SARs dogs there that helped to find some of the victims. I thought of you and Michele immediately! Actually, there was a van parked in our lot on Thursday after the collapse that had some of the dogs in there.

I hope everyone has a great Saturday. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend here with the temps in the 70's.

Good November morning to all!! It's a chilly 32 degrees here at 9:15AM PST and there is snow in the forecast tonight.

Dennis, Sorry to hear about the loss of the people over there. I've been watching TV and keeping up with the situation. I hope the fires die down soon and noone else loses their house or especially their life.

Well as luck would have it, my husband didn't get sent off to Iraq before we could go trick or treating with our 22month old son!! It was cold, but man you should see his candy!! We've got candy out the ying yang. So I brought a small bowl of ours to share around the PBS. Tootsi Rolls, one of my favorites.

Well I'm gonna keep the PBS warm tonight, we are due for 1-3 inches of snow here in the south puget sound area. Looking forward to it. :D

Have a great weekend!!

Good Afternoon Friends!

KB - we'll be thinking about you and your husband when he is shipped off to Iraq. We've had alot of members that had family or they themselves were shipped off to the war. My significant other's sone was over there from March until July 3. You will have a big support group here that's for sure!

Another beautiful day here. I just planted some more bulbs and used our leave vacuum to mulch some leaves in the backyard portion that's wooded. I think I broke it - something must be stuck because it stopped sucking up the leaves.

Last night I logged on to my company's e-mail website and found out that they were allowed to have the customers and employees get their cars from the parking garage. Marty drove me down last night. From what I understand though, the garage won't be open for awhile and neither will our Transportation Center where all of our bus customers arrive and depart.

I think that I had said that the four dead were all in their 20's. Actually, two were in their 20's and two were in their 40's. :( I believe that 11 are still in the hospital with 2 still critical.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

Well it is another beautiful day in Houston!! Bright and sunny and 84º!!! This is not our typical November weather!!! Not that I am complaining!!! :D :D Soon enough it will change and I will no doubt be complaining that it's too darn cold to rain but it isn't snowing. :Chit:

KB it seems early in the season for you guys to be getting snow. Or am I wrong. I'm not as versed on the NW weather as I probably should be. Glad the hubby was able to go trick or treating with the son!!! Now, truthfully whose sack had the most your son's or his daddy's? :pumpkin:
Like Stephanie said you will have a significant support group here!!! WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY!!! Be sure to keep us posted on the hubby and his whereabouts!!

FEI(for everyones information), after 4 days on the job all seems well!! I feel like I am in the right place and at the right time so we will see where the Lord takes me with this one. He definitely was making sure I understood patience!!!! We must ALWAYS listen to him and FOLLOW his lead. That becomes more and more OBVIOUS with every day that passes.(as if we don't all know that!!!-but we so often forget!!)

Stephanie, me and my numb brain didn't even think about you when I saw the news on the tube about the collapse!!! Glad to know you are fine!!!

Dennis, I love the new sig, but I think I'll pass!! Not that I don't trust you. but...??? Sure would be one way to meet you guys and the dogs face to face though!!!  BTW, I prefer Lowes to Home Depot. But what can I say? I have both within two miles of me!! If one doesn't have it the other ususally does. That reminds me I need to get a halogen light for a lamp I just mounted on the wall.

I'm passing on the goodies right now. I am determined to change my old avatar!!! give Crouton my portion of the apple pie-I think that was usually half of it wasn't it???

LATER ALL!!! ENJOY WHAT IS LEFT OF THE WEEKEND AND HAVE A FABULOUS WEEK!!!

David - I'm glad that the job seems to be a good fit for you. Take one day at a time!

BTW - it's not easy to remember where everyone works. I'm going to send an e-mail tomorrow to see if there can or will be a fund raiser set up for the families.

On the USA Weather forum I saw that San Diego received rain! I hope that's the snow that you'll soon be receiving Dennis!

Well, I'm watching the CBS 75th aniversary show. So far it's had some funny flashbacks from "All in the Family", "Maude", "Evening Shade" and "I Love Lucy". Have a great evening!

Now that it is November, I can feel Christmas fever just around the corner, hasn't quite hit me yet, but put money in my hand come Thursday and I will be singing the carols!! I know that Thanksgiving comes before Christmas, but I try not to think about the 10 pounds I will gain on that day!!

Well, it is rainy and wet here, but I am still going to enjoy my two days off!! I have many a things to catch up on around here so I better get crackin! Save me a seat by the stove, I am chilly! Have a good Monday everyone!
