This is just the tops of the low level clouds of course. but eye is rapidly warming.

actual eye temp if recon was there would likely be 27 or 28 c.

Why is there no mesoscale floater on this? It's a little frustrating.

Not an meteorologist! Just someone who is interested in weather. Please refer to the NHC and local weather officials to make decisions.

Since late September it was always in the back of my mind that the only thing 2020 was really missing in terms of 'being a crazy season' was a cat 5. But I certainly did not think that it would (most likely) get one in November of all months.

PIN.HOLE.MONSTER. The Cat 5 streak might be extended just yet. Would be very 2020 to do it in November :roll: Is the area of CA it is headed for sparsely inhabited? Let's hope so.

Theta is the next letter. It's up to the NHC to decide if this keeps the same name or develops a new circulation and gets a new name. Time will tell.

I am not sure why they are questioning why the global models show a cyclone in the NW Caribbean by the end of the week, by following the h85 vorticity from Eta it is clearly the same cyclone reforming when its vorticity goes back over water by then.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Raw T# up to 6.9 based on the 14:50UTC ADT update, so about 30 minutes ago.

Those clouds over the Northeast are sure moving east to west in a constant direction on the GOES-16 floater. If you look closely you can see stratocumulus bands layered right of the coast


(Refocus on Eta pls)
