they mentioned they were likely to shift the track eastward and given recent developments there isn't much doubt they will

I think at the very least, watches/warnings will be expanded?...

I mean, Eta is already in the most bizarre weirdo storm conversation as is

NHC may want to sort of mention something about the motion..

Intermediate advisory soon. Maybe they will then

NOAA2 is saying that Eta is moving north very slowly.

Radar image out of Fort Myers sure makes it look like it is making a beeline for the SW Florida coast. Is Eta Charley's younger sister??? I trust the NHC, but this is a real complicated setup that the models have been all over the place with.

Hmmmm.....far be it from me to go against the grain...but watching satellite loops..ETA appears to be moving NNE...it could be that I'm watching satellite loops on my cell phone, which has a crack on the screen, that also is in a NNE direction..I've watched the loop over and over, it sure doesn't look due north to me...

There seems to be zero chance this is moving North or slowly.

I agree with you. There seems to be a slight easterly component. Will be interesting this evolves. There is a lot of convection so the LLC is the important part.

Watching Eta from Key West. We got spared her fury Sunday night, now with the storm possibly taking an easterly jog, that luck may be over.

Interesting enough the models reject the idea of a more easterly track...that said I see an easterly component based on the satellite presentation.

Hopefully recon will be out there long enough to give us a good fix on the motion.

If you look at the coordinates from 4 pm to 7 pm it’s clearly not north... much closer to NE

Saved radar loop, the circulation that you see is the mid level circulation which is to the east of the LLC.

The photo I posted above shows the nhc forecast line. (Dashed line). It is further east and north.

Plane needs to fly east I bet they will find a better defined LLC and or the LLC elongating/reforming.

NOAA radars are outside Tampa and Miami. Nothing in Fort Myers. Which radar are you using?
