5.35 inches in Gulfport (Florida, Pinellas County), 32 mph gusts in my tree protected back yard.
https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KFLGULFP5
I see 60 mpg on Sky Way Bridge and Surfside Condos on Clearwater Beach.
The webcams in downtown Gulfport Florida went offline at 6:45 and downtown had ocean waves on Beach Blvd. in front of the Casino.
This is the strongest and most intense since Irma for sure.
Hard to see at night, but the Gulf is up to the dunes on Clearwater Beach already.

It's looking like that Eta is parrel to the West Coast of Florida, causing more problems.
(And welcome to the team!

Re: ATL: ETA - Tropical Storm - Discussion
A quick PSA...
I had to drive to the East Coast today and back into the storm this afternoon so I saw the peak and in my high profile SUV, and no, it was not fun.
I witnessed one sterling individual try to parallel park his car in the trees northbound on I-75 just south of Hwy 64, and another genius upside down in the median just north of University Ave. My PSA?
1. Do not text and drive. EVER. Especially during a tropical storm or hurricane.
2. If you've never driven in a tropical storm or the tail end of a hurricane, DO NOT TRY THIS. I've witnessed a loaded semi blow over on I-4 as Erin was passing by. If you think this is the time to joyride and seek adventure, think otherwise, you could get killed.
The hurricane chasers who are pros have taken the time to learn. I had to do it for work. So please people, do not push your luck. Don't be an idiot, just watch it on YouTube, Storm2k or on TV.
Thank you.

FYI, it always floods on Lido, ever since I was a kid. No matter how big the pumps are they install, it still can not keep. Especially with a slow moving TS or TD.

Pinellas is now in the eyewall, such as it is, of Eta.

Power is still on. Duke did a good job rebuilding after Irma.
We have a small tree down in our backyard and lot of debris from our live oaks. 5.8 inches of rain now, but the rain may be about over. We needed the rain for sure, but 6 inches is overkill!
I'd love to see where the water is downtown now. It's almost high tide. But I'm not going out on the roads tonight.

I just read that in St Pete. Tide is 5.1 over mean. Prior high was 4 ft. With Elena 1985. Expected to hit 6 ft.
The peak is hitting right at high tide. Unreal. Friends backyard has the intercoastal in it. Don't think that has ever happened before
