According to Pivotal Weather, there is no snow on either version of the GFS. It stops at the OK border.

Looks like a blob of rain and maybe snow is heading towards the Metro? Just west right now on the WAPP Fox 4......

Yeah I see that but according to the HRRR soundings it’s too warm between about 700 to 900 so it looks like it will just be a quick cold rain shower if anything. Booo.

First time on the boards this "Winter". We saw some flakes on Sunday in WF but nothing close to sticking. Hopefully the wintry precip picks up as we move deeper into the season!

After a slightly underwhelming .75 inch snowfall on Sunday, I got about 2 inches today up here in Oklahoma! Most I’ve seen since March of 2015. (also means I’m done complaining for a couple years!). I’m headed back to DFW this week and hopefully I can bring my luck of 3 winter weather events to the metroplex in time for a White Christmas! :froze:

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

I don't buy the change over to rain, that is some of the deepest cold air of the season. Also, models always bust cold at the surface (weenie law) in these setups and we end up with more snow than expected :sled:

ETA: also, model trend here lately is to pull precip back west over time

Can't overperform when you don't even try to perform... sad but true.
