Has anyone else seen a Christmas commercial yet this year? I just saw my first -- a Verizon phone ad, complete with snowflake patterns on the wall and bells in the background. Not a heavy-duty Christmas ad, but a reminder just the same.

I miss the old Ronco commercials. :(

Target had xmas music on yesterday. Does that count? Once in July Target had on xmas music. My kids were cracking up. We found ourselves humming Jingle Bells in the middle of the summer!

We've already got 5 rolls of wraping paper, tie yarn, and ornaments for wrapping presents- November 2 the holiday spirit was live and well at my local wally world. *grins*

I loved the folger commercials when I was a kid- sometimes they re-air them for the holidays. My favorite was the college aged? (He seemed ancient when I was a kid) guy- Peter- who comes home in the early early morning and finds a little girl (I want to say his sister) on the stairs and tells her not to wake mom and dad up- and goes to put on a pot of coffee that wakes up the whole house. It always made me giggle as a kid. Happy memories :)

Announcing: The Holiday Season - running from October 1 until January 1!!!! You ask where did Halloween go? It's still there. Do you see the masks and costumes amid the xmas ornaments and garland? The two look nice side by side in the aisle don't they? Mmmmm.....now you're asking where did Thanksgiving go? Well, it's coming but the space left behind where Halloween merch was, is now taken up with even more holiday decorations......you may find one stray paper machette turkey or platter with fall leaves..... but good ole Thanksgiving is having a real hard time competing with all the fake xmas trees and garland decorating every register now.

I now return you all to your lamenting. I've just decided this is the way it will be, there are now all year round xmas stores. In case you get to missing the smell of pine in May or think you may need just ~one more ornament~ for Aunt Bessie or your tree.

I am not sure if it is considered as a product for a Christmas gift, per se... but the Fox News Channel was advertising a "huge contraption" to help you open those difficult to open lids.

Before too long we will see the Clapper, Chia Pets, Chia Heads and the Salad Shooter. :D

Well, this morning I saw another one (actually, the end of one). Santa was in a car with an elf and the True Value hardware store logo popped up. I heard part of it as I was getting ready for work, but only after I turned off my hair dryer. Then I looked over at the TV and saw that.

I suppose you could count the previews for the movie "Elf," but it just doesn't have the same feel as the Christmas commercials with the bells ringing and music playing. :)

I have seen at least 10 different Christmas-themed commercials in the past week. Now either I watch too much TV (which of course I do  ) or there are just too many Christmas commercials being shown in early November (yes, there are).
