GFS MOS extended for DFW (statistical) afternoon high of 7 on Monday (12 early in the day after midnight) and a low of 4 Tuesday morning. NWS loves MOS, will they tag along with it?

Yeap I believe the GFS and ECMWF will be playing catch up on the Arctic Front down here...Kind of hard to believe on Sunday we will warm up to the mid 60s. Both 12z Models do have lows in the mid to upper 20s for Tuesday Morning.

Will be interesting when the NAM gets in range as it usually does very well with Arctic Fronts down here.

Where's Beek's with that citrus crop report for the frozen concentrated orange juice futures?

Keep in mind that ALL Winter Storm/Blizzard Watches are usually posted up to 60 hours before the storm so we can know where the most likely impacts are.

Which is concerning, since temps continue to be overestimated. But hopefully it means more sleet instead of ice for the densely populated areas

Austin and Hill Co region need to be under WWAs at this point IMO.

Man, I haven’t really been able to be active today but this forum has been electric. I’ve been on this forum since 2017 and this winter has far exceeded the excitement from the others. I’m still in school today but MAN I can’t wait to catch up on all of the model runs and the amazing changes. The blizzard setup for presidents’ day already looks historical and I’m extremely optimistic.

What are y’all seeing for San Antonio/Bexar County? I’m guessing primarily ice, but no snow...

The only thing that may save the Hill Country/Austin to Waco is timing of precip...the main S/W is swinging through tomorrow afternoon, during the daylight hours. Could keep temps elevated somewhat

I been trying to keep up with San Antonio weather myself. Have a family vacation planned and was supposed to leave Monday morning from SE Louisiana. Right now it does not look good. And if things don’t change by Sat night, May have to cancel.

Looks like SA could see some light snowfall accumulations on Monday. Primary precipitation type looks to be sleet right now, possibly ending as snow.

Do you think it will be too hazardous to get to San Antonio from SE Louisiana? Have a hotel booked for the week. And we were planning to leave Monday morning at 6 a.m.

I would be preparing for some ice accumulations in Victoria. The precipitation could briefly end as snow down there but for the most part it should be freezing rain and some sleet.

At the way things look now, yes it will be too dangerous, in fact i wouldn't be surprised if they end up having to close down parts of the interstates.
