At this point this el nino event does not look to be very strong especially not like the 1982-83 one nor the 1997-98 one.But there is plenty of time to watch how the ENSO factor will play out in the next months and in what manner it may be a big or less a factor for the upcomming 2004 hurricane season.

All the prognostications I have been reading point to a nuetral to minimal El Nino. I guess we watch and wonder.
