It's sticking to the sidewalks and driveway. The folks in southern Dallas and Tarrant counties are probably getting a good dose of sleet right now.

0-24" that's my prediction. Either it's going to bust or hit it big.

I just woke up, ran a late load of laundry incase power goes out today/tomorrow.

The one nice thing about this event is the coverage!!

We’re going to be stressing about how much, not if we get ANY snow.

Interesting, the thermometer says 35, but my patio table with a glass top - is slushy and forming a layer of glaze.

I remember Harold Taft at KXAS giving a physics lesson one time, and explaining how with wind and lower dew points with moisture falling, solid objects (metal and bridges) could cool faster than the air temperature, so it was possible to have ice on surfaces even if the air temp was slightly above freezing.

That's confirmed. Sleet is coming down hard coated the drive and street. Going to be slick in Arlington.

It's also possible on an extreme micro-scale that you saw cooling due to initial melting, which brought the area of the furniture below freezing.

Nothing in Norman yet but I see some radar returns in DFW and my parents say they are getting some light, brief precipitation of some kind at Frisco. Not sure how accurate it is.

It's getting closer to them. It may seem light on radar but it's glazing everything very quick.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

I told my wife I'm giving her snow for Valentine's Day this year......

I'm in big trouble is this falls apart, I did not get her anything else and it's going to be really cold in the doghouse outside.

Why would you do such a thing knowing full well DFW's recent history! Best of luck of my friend, bring lots of handwarmers :D.
