Huge flakes here in Abilene. Reports of 7 inches already and drifts are ridiculous. Airport also closed. Made it to work though. The drive home ..... :double:

I am not a meteorologist. Anything posted by me should not be taken as an official forecast. Get your information from respected sources such as NWS and NOAA. I get my weather information the same way Hank Hill does ..... I look out the window and say ... "YUP".

So, this will coming to Denton?

Looks to be. It’s moving slower than the NWS predicted which means it’s probably going to stay longer and snow longer. Here’s what it looks like on my RadarScope:

Does that mean I get a LOT of snow!? :shocked!:

Looking due west from Ponder with my unobstructed view I can see a darker hue to the sky. It's close.

Fox 4 WAPP has me in the blue from now until 9ish..... :froze:

DFW has fallen to 14F. 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 (lowest 13-16F) are all going to get beat of the past two decades.

I'm not sure but has to be close to 2". They've had heavier bouts of snow and lower visibility + colder temps than the earlier round when it racked up 1" depth. I can never get consistent live updated data regarding snow from the airport.

HRRR indicates sleet starting by midnight, changing to snow by 3am and ending by 9am. Amounts from 1-3 inches. Dang cold Tuesday morning. Here in Darwin, I'll be spending the day at the beach later this morning.

I like the NWS statements telling residents to not venture outdoors or risk certain death. The folks up in Minnesota must be laughing. Of course if the temp gets above 90F up there it's life-threatening.

Already sleeting/rain at my house in NW Houston. It's slight, but it's definitely sleet. Also, I'm reading 29 degrees at the moment.

Round 2 has started up here. Looks pretty fast moving and narrow. My guess is there's more coming tonight, otherwise this will get nowhere near the 6-10" that were forecasted before the event. I just need enough to cancel classes tomorrow 8-)

Snowy and 16 degrees, but snow has come in waves, nothing I would classify as super heavy. I'm at about 2" of snow on back patio.

I finally checked here and it's right at 2.1 inches and still going out in front of the heavy band heading in.

Don’t want to jinx y’all, but the radar looks so damn good for most of you.

Don’t see how most don’t end up with 4+

On the Ambient Station: 18.8 degrees; Dew Point 17.3. That's all I got! Everything else inoperable with the ice. You haven't lived until you have to entice a couple of dachshunds to venture out for their "daily biz-ness dealings" during an ice storm event. Good times! Brandy in my Yeti!
