Likelihood of parts of SE Louisiana and Southern Mississippi suffering a crippling ice storm increasing by the hour.
Latest model runs shifting the band of heavy ice accumulations southward more towards Baton Rouge. Chances of New Orleans getting in on ice also increasing.
Also, after this round of precip finishes, comes the bitter cold temperatures. Us on the Gulf Coast are on the outer edges of this ridiculous cold snap while Texas and Oklahoma are getting the brunt of this. For example, my forecast low is 21 (up a few ticks from 19 last night) and my relatives in Beaumont are forecast to be around 17 tomorrow night, they were even lower.
