Whatever you call this low, it IS intensifying. It probably is producing at least 40 knot winds just to its west.

It has probably already peaked. Doesn't look like the NHC will bother with it.

If this was not being sheared so strongly... Unfortunately the low is becoming separated from the convection.
Is this storm actually trying to undergo a center relocation? Look at the convection wrapping around an area north of the LLC. I think the frontal low may be distangling from the center. Correct me if I am wrong as I missed the front completely and thought it was a couple hundred miles to the east.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

It’s definitely shedding it’s frontal features, problem is the meh SST’s, wind shear, and time are not giving it much to work with.

Even if it doesn’t develop, the fact it is coming this close in March is a sign that we will very likely see pre-season development this season, regardless of how cool the ENSO shapes up, or how warm the rest of the ATL becomes later on.

Even if it doesn’t get the A name, it still gets an A for effort. It’s trying so hard despite the fact that it’s March 22/23rd, and conditions are absolute garbage.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Naked swirl alert. Honestly ready for this front to come through and push this thing out to sea. Been very windy at the house for about 5 days now.

There was too much of temperature gradient, where the strongest winds were, close to the low pressure center for the NHC to even considering it to be a Sub tropical system.

I expect another 20 storm season. As long as it doesn't pull another 2006 with the enso. Of course the warming enso could limit the season if current trends continue but there's a lot things favoring above avg.
