Re: Great Plains, Midwest, & Deep South Storm Season 2021
HRRR for tomorrow is giving me some 7/11/20 vibes, though I don't think this event will be as intense as that one. If this gets upgraded to enhanced it's likely going to be a pretty big deal because enhanced risks in July here are about as rare as moderate/high risks during peak season.
Like most summer MCS events this should mainly be a wind threat.

Re: Great Plains, Midwest, & Deep South Storm Season 2021
Still at slight risk here for now for tomorrow. Hopefully we get a solid line out of this.
On a side note, I just found out that the back road from my town to Tulsa washed out into a creek last week during the heavy rains. That road is actually pretty heavily used, and I've used it several times even though it's on the opposite side of town as me so hopefully they get that fixed pretty quickly...

Yikes. Second enhanced risk in July here since 2013. The other one was last year...

Re: Great Plains, Midwest, & Deep South Storm Season 2021
Line just moved through here and it looks like we're just about done. This was a solid event for July. Insane rainfall and several severe gusts. Looks like the line is weakening a bit now that it's south of me. Overall a solid event.
EDIT: Apparently SPC thinks there may be another round coming through later tonight, although it should mainly be in MO.

Well, this is when the bad news comes in
Many Climate models are predicting yet again another nasty winter combined with a return of the La Niña.
On the flip side, it only got up to 84°F Yesterday at my house, with a Low of 63°F this morning, NW Oklahoma managed to get as low as 56°F!

I don't mind a snowstorm or two as long as it only lasts a couple days. But I'm not a cold weather guy lol

I made a reanalysis on the Coldest morning in February . . .
Orginally down to -12°F, but a further analysis showed it froze & bottomed out, but my neighbor to the south managed to record -22°F, this is now the coldest Temperature ever recorded at my house since my observations began in 2017 . . .

As a new Denver/Lakewood resident. I'll start adding some CO weather in this thread as well. Been having consistent afternoon thunderstorms in the mountains. They are still dry, but the rain is helping.
