I live on the 3rd floor of my apartment building so the decorations really won't be happening here. :( I miss decorating. I don't even think I'll even have a tree.. It's gonna be pleasent here but kinda sad too :((

I usually start decorating for Christmas around the 5th. I have added more to my outside decorations this year. I have been buying Nativity pieces ALL year. I will have a big nativity display along with my reindeer, outside tree, lighted Christmas gifts, icicle lights, big Christmas star and my animated Santa and his sleigh with the reindeer. I LOVE Christmas.

We have to have our tree (an artificial one, of course) up by November 20th. Granddaughter Emma will be staying with us that weekend.

Whoa!!!! That's less than two weeks away!

Well.......I'm gonna start THIS weekend with the outside light display, it takes me about 2 weeks to get everything hung. We go out the day after Thanksgiving with our friends from Tucson, go buy a Christmas tree cutting permit, pack a lunch (BEER) and hike the high country looking for that PERFECT, Blue Spruce or Douglas Fir Tree!

Getting the decorations out this weekend. Have to finish making my wooden outdoor decorations in the next two weeks. Will probably go with new lights outside.

I have to work the after Thanksgiving this year - so I won't decorate until that weekend. Put the tree up and all the indoor stuff. This season is here.

With a hyperactive three yearold grandson living with me I don't want to decorate until Dec 20. Too much stuff for him to mess with guarantees a disaster will happen. It is stressful enough without the hassle of the holidays so why torture myself by decorating early?

Well decorating. It starts with small stuff around Thanksgiving. Then the major stuff 2 weeks before. But it differs every year.

I'm on the second floor of an apartment building. With the chaos of moving the week before chirstmas last year and the untimely death of my artificial tree I didn't think I was going to have a christmas tree at all. I cried when I realized it just wasn't going to be- I'd always had a christmas tree from the time I can remember and it was one of the things that really made me feel at home. And here I was in this strange massive apartment (upgraded to 2 bedrooms before the wedding that summer) that didn't feel like home.. and no one understood how much that one freaking tree with all the pretty lights mattered.

I went straight to my mom's house for christmas eve from work- to open presents and my fiancee met me there grinning like a cheshire. When we all opened presents he handed me a tiny bag and everyone in the room just grinned. Inside was a fresh twig off of the christmas tree waiting at my home for me that he and his mom put up while I was at work christmas eve.... with all of the trimmings- including the family ornaments that were being passed down to my husband. I cried like a baby and refused to take it down until Februrary.

Suffice to say- I'm not sure when we'll be decorating *Laughs* Maybe Christmas Eve.

It's still alittle early for me. I usually do it the first weekend of December which this year is right after Thanksgiving.
